A wonderful detached cottage surrounded by fantastic views which had fallen into disrepair after being left empty for a number of years. The cottage was suffering from damp due to the lack of a damp course and solid brickwork walls. After completely gutting the house including removing all internal walls the ground floor walls were tanked with a special damp proof sheet and insulated before being plastered. Both outbuildings have been brought into use as an entrance hall and the other a utility room. By changing the staircase position we were able to increase the living space both downstairs and up.
